American Chopper
Living the American dream
American Chopper, Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/11 pm PT
Witness the creation of the world's most outrageous custom motorcycles. Each episode of "American Chopper" captures the day-to-day drama at Orange County Choppers as founder Paul Teutul Sr. and the chief designer/fabricator Paul Teutul Jr. battle impossible deadlines and each other to push the envelope of motorcycle design. From heated arguments and humorous antics to creative setbacks and artistic triumphs, "American Chopper" celebrates one family's struggle to live the American dream by building American motorbikes.
The camera invites viewers to follow the Teutuls as they work in their OCC shop in Rock Tavern, N.Y., building dozens of custom motorcycles and OCC's renowned 'theme' bikes, including the Jet Bike, the Spiderman Bike, the Black Widow and the Fireman Bike, built in memory of the New York City firefighters who lost their lives on September 11.
Using innovative storytelling techniques throughout, the cameras go outside the shop and travel with the Teutuls to everything from magazine photo shoots to client unveilings, and family vacations to custom bike shows where 'the Pauls' have become renowned celebrities.
The relationship between father and son, along with other employees of OCC, forges a program with a creative balance between top-notch craftsmanship and interactions that can veer from dramatic exchanges to uproarious laughter in seconds. Each episode chronicles their lives and their progression of work within the shop, further revealing more about the Teutuls and the extended OCC family business.
