How to buy NASCAR tickets
Tips and tricks that can put you in the seat to ANY race
So you've saved up your money and decided to go to a NASCAR race but you don't know how to go about buying tickets? Here is how to go about finding even the toughest tickets in NASCAR.
Call The Track
The first step in your ticket search should be to call the track ticket office and see if they have any tickets for sale. This is the safest (you know your tickets are not counterfeit) and usually the cheapest way to buy tickets. You can find a complete list of NEXTEL Cup race tracks on this site.
If you've never been to the track before tell the person that. I've often found that they will offer to include maps, local hotel information, and even tips on the best ways to get in and out of the track so as to help avoid the traffic.
And finally, When you are talking to the ticket person be nice.

The big drawback here is that you should plan on spending at least twice the face value or even more.
Personally, I have never purchased tickets from one of these national firms so I can't guide you to the best one but they aren't hard to find. Shop around and haggle to get your best price. Know what the face value is of the tickets you want so you'll know what is reasonable.
Be Brave
Finally, go to the track without a ticket. I have never been to a race where a patient person with cash couldn't find a race day ticket at a fair price. Even the traditionally tough tickets like the night race in Bristol have hundreds of people out front who just want to get the money back that they have invested and go to the race.
This can be a nerve racking experience but the longer you wait, the better the prices get. If you are willing to miss the first couple of laps you might be able to get in for less than face value.
Again, you should be prepared. Know how much tickets cost and how much you are willing to spend. Look at the tickets and double check the date. Is the ticket for this year's race? Does it look right to you? A little caution here can save you a lot of hassle (and money).
Conclusion
Getting NASCAR tickets is not impossible. At every race there are tickets that go unused that you could have had. Just follow the steps above and you can get tickets to any race that you want to go to.
